Frequently asked questions
Why not just hire a full-time designer?
An excellent point! Initially, the annual expense for a full-time senior-level designer surpasses $100,000, along with benefits, and finding an available one can be a challenge. Moreover, there's the issue of not consistently having enough tasks to keep them occupied, resulting in payment for underutilized time.
Our monthly plan addresses this by allowing you to pause and resume your subscription as needed, ensuring you only pay for your designer when there's work to be done.
How many design requests can I submit at a time?
Once you become a member you can add an unlimited number of design requests to your queue and they will be delivered one at a time.
How fast will I receive my designs?
Most requests are typically fulfilled within two days or less but more intricate requests may require additional time.
Who are the designers?
Design Grind is made up of two designers, each with over a decade of experience working at top agencies in New York City. We are career professionals with expert-level proficiencies in graphic design, UI/UX, presentation design and brand identity.
How does the pause feature work?
We understand you might not have enough design work for an entire month. If you have just one or two design requests, you can pause your subscription. Our billing cycles are based on a 31-day period. For instance, if you use the service for 21 days and then pause, you'll have 10 days left to use anytime in the future.
What programs do you use for design?
Most requests are designed using different combinations of Adobe Xd, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Figma, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
How do I submit design requests?
Design Grind provides extensive flexibility in design requests through Trello. Clients commonly make requests directly on Trello, share Google Docs or wireframes, or even record brief Loom videos for those who prefer not to write out their briefs. Essentially, if it can be linked or shared in Trello, it's acceptable.
What if I don’t like the design?
We will work with you until you are completely satisfied with your design.
Are there designs that DesignGrind will not do?
Certainly. Design Grind does not include following design services: Complicated, large websites with over 15 pages, 3D modeling, animated graphics, document design (medical forms, etc), complex packaging, and extensive print design (magazines, books, etc).
What if I only have one design request?
All good! You have the option to pause your subscription once your current needs are met and resume it when you have more design requirements. Don't let any remaining subscription time go to waste.
Are there any refunds if I don’t like the service?
Refunds will not be issued due to the high quality nature of the work.
